Crown & Bridge Abutments

Crown & Bridge Abutments are used to restore fixed Crowns and Bridges. The clinician and the lab technician have several options to choose when fabricating Crowns & Bridges. All Simpler milled Abutments are made either from 6/4 titanium alloy or Delrin and have an indexed mating surface (the hex) to ensure accuracy of positioning in the mouth, plus a Morse Taper to eliminate micro-movement and micro-gap between implant and abutment.  All abutments are available in 3.25 and 4 mm  diameters.

The 4 mm abutments fit into 4.0, 5.0  and 6.0 mm diameter implants.

UCLA Abutments: are used as an abutment or as burnout copings and are available in Titanium or Delrin.    For those dentists who wish a machined mating surface rather than a cast one, the Titanium components can be adjusted, waxed to and cast to using “Tilite” titanium  alloy.  Wax can be added to the both the Titanium and Delrin UCLA Abutments to whatever shape the lab desires.   There are small spiral grooves around the top portion to help mechanical attachment of the wax to the UCLA.  It is important that the lab is well qualified to follow proper investing and casting procedures. The Delrin UCLA abutments can be used either as burnout copings and as scanning abutments.

The 4 mm abutments fit into 4.0, 5.0  and 6.0 mm diameter implants.
